Rajya Sabha Debates 14.0

The Rajya Sabha Debates mobile application provides comprehensive access to all debates conducted in the Rajya Sabha since its inception on 13 May 1952. The platform enables users to search debates using detailed metadata, including Participating Members, Debate Type, Debate Subject, Debate Date, and Session Number.

When searching by Participating Members, users can locate a member's name either by entering any part of the name or specifying the beginning of the name. The search results are dynamically updated with each keystroke, displaying the number of matching records relative to the total number of debates, along with a list of matched members. Users can select a member from this list to view all debates in which they participated. The total number of debates involving the selected member is also presented.

The application lists all debates involving the chosen member, providing metadata such as session number, subject, date, and participating members. Additionally, a free text search feature allows users to filter debate records based on any metadata field for more precise retrieval.

Furthermore, users can perform searches based on Debate Type and Subject. Selecting a broader category from these lists displays all relevant records, with results similarly presented as in member-based searches and available for further filtering via metadata search.

The app also supports searching debates by specific Date or Session Number. Upon selection, it displays all corresponding records with consistent metadata information and offers the same metadata-based filtering options for refined search results.
